Major Duties
The typical season for this position is April - September but can be variable during these months due to weather conditions, project needs, or funding. The anticipated entry on duty is April 2026. Duties of the position include, but are not limited to the following: Primary Duties for this position include Carpentry, Roofing and Painting. Performs all tasks related to repair and/or replacement of damaged or degraded sections of roofing, siding, and window components for both modern and historic buildings according to the Secretary of Interior Preservation Standards. Work may include Masonry and installation of trim and finishes in historic structures. Performs all tasks related to the preparation and completion of painting projects on interior and exterior finishes for both modern and historic buildings according to the Secretary of Interior Preservation Standards. Performs tasks related to repair and/or replacement of damaged or degraded components of brick or stonework, such as chimneys, for historic buildings according to the Secretary of Interior Preservation Standards.
