As the Environmental Services Coordinator, you will primarily be responsible for assisting the Environmental team in the day-to-day operational aspects of the various environmental management related project and tasks that the Thredbo Environmental Services department have carriage of.
About the Role:
Provide support to the environmental services team in the management of the environmental related aspects of the various projects being carried out in Thredbo, including carrying out and documenting site inspections and auditing site environment management plans.
Carry out data collection and record keeping using an ARCGiS geographical information system, including generating relevant spatial information for other departments.
Have input into the ongoing development and administration of the environmental management system, liaising with relevant stakeholders (including government departments) and producing regular reports on the progress of the system.
Carry out other tasks related to the municipal infrastructure and village operation as required by the environmental services manager from time to time, including providing technical support to other Department’s where it relates to environmental risk management, including the Property and Compliance Managers
Provide support to the environmental services manager with the various reporting responsibilities for the potable water supply and waste water treatment plant, in particular the EPA Licence and compliance with the Australian Drinking Water Guidelines and NSW Health requirements
Skills & Experience
Undergraduate in Environmental Science or related degree
Manage tasks and responsibilities accordingly to meet deadlines
Intermediate computer skills
Specialist skills within your current role or area of work
Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
Strong customer service knowledge
