Job Purpose:
We are seeking an Environmental & Social Auditor to support auditing, monitoring and reporting assignments for projects financed by international lenders (including EPFIs, DFIs and ECAs).
You will support and lead site-based audits of construction and operational facilities, reporting directly to lenders on compliance with ESAPs, IFC Performance Standards, and other international finance requirements.
The role combines technical audit delivery, client engagement, site inspections and structured reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and conduct environmental and social compliance audits (construction & operations)
- Lead or support site inspections, document reviews, worker interviews and management meetings
- Evaluate compliance against IFC PS 1–8, WBG EHS Guidelines and lender ESAP commitments
- Prepare high-quality audit and monitoring reports for lender submission
- Support disbursement reviews (CPs/CSs) and compliance tracking
- Manage audit logistics, travel coordination and site access arrangements
- Maintain strong client relationships and support follow-on work opportunities
- Ensure H&S and security protocols are fully implemented during travel and site visits
What We Are Looking For:
- BSc or Master’s degree in Environmental, Social or related discipline
- 3–6 years’ experience in E&S consultancy or auditing for internationally financed projects
- ISO 14001 Lead Auditor (or equivalent management systems auditing qualification)
- Strong knowledge of IFC Performance Standards and lender compliance frameworks
- Experience auditing industrial, infrastructure or renewable energy sites
- Experience assessing E&S management systems and ESAP implementation
- Excellent report writing and analytical skills
- Fluent English (Arabic or other regional languages advantageous)
- Willingness to travel internationally frequently
