DescriptionPosition Summary
We are seeking a results-driven Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager with strong experience in repair depots and distribution centers. This role will lead environmental, health, and safety strategy across multiple repair and warehouse facilities, ensuring regulatory compliance, minimizing operational risk, and fostering a culture of safety excellence.
The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience supporting complex, fast-paced repair and logistics environments, automated systems, material handling equipment, and warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities
Multi-Site EHS Leadership
- Develop and standardize EHS programs across repair depots and distribution centers.
- Conduct routine site audits, risk assessments, and safety inspections.
- Partner with Operations Managers and Distribution Center Leaders to ensure consistent policy execution.
- Travel regularly to facilities (25–50%) to provide on-site leadership and support.
Regulatory & Compliance Management
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including OSHA, EPA, and DOT requirements.
- Manage reporting for recordable incidents, hazardous materials, and environmental permits.
- Serve as the primary point of contact during regulatory inspections and audits.
- Lead incident investigations using root cause analysis methodologies and implement corrective actions.
Repair depot & Warehouse Safety Programs
Oversee and continuously improve programs related to:
- Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) – delete
- Machine guarding and robotics safety
- Powered industrial trucks (forklifts, pallet jacks)
- Confined space entry
- Fall protection
- Hazard communication and chemical safety
- Ergonomics and repetitive motion prevention
- Contractor safety management
- Emergency preparedness and fire prevention
- Environmental compliance and restrictions
Environmental Management
- Oversee hazardous waste handling, storage, and disposal.
- Ensure compliance with air permits, wastewater discharge requirements.
- Lead spill prevention and response initiatives.
- Drive sustainability efforts related to waste reduction and energy efficiency within operations.
Training & Culture Development
- Working with our HR Team, develop and deliver site-specific safety training programs for production and warehouse employees.
- Coach supervisors and frontline leaders on safety accountability and hazard identification.
- Facilitate safety committees and promote employee engagement in near-miss reporting.
Data, Metrics & Continuous Improvement
- Track and analyze safety KPIs including TRIR, DART, lost-time incidents, and near-miss trends.
- Use data analytics to identify risk trends in production lines and distribution workflows.
- Present performance updates and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
- Support lean manufacturing and operational excellence initiatives with integrated safety planning.
QualificationsEducation:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field very desirable.
Experience:
- 5–8+ years of EHS experience in manufacturing and/or distribution environments.
- Minimum 3 years supporting multiple facilities or regional operations.
- Experience in high-volume production, automation, warehousing, or supply chain operations strongly preferred.
Certifications (Preferred):
- CSP (Certified Safety Professional)
- CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist)
- CHMM (Certified Hazardous Materials Manager)
- OSHA 30-Hour (General Industry)

Work Environment
This position operates in both office and industrial environments, including production floors and distribution warehouses.
