WORK OBJECTIVE
Under limited supervision, coordinates with other organizations to sample their wastewater effluent discharge into the sanitary sewer system, performs annual NPDES permit sampling, emergency sewer spill sampling and other environmental sampling for regulatory compliance purposes. Coordinates with the State of Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) to ensure all businesses and organizations follow local, state, and federal guidelines; and performs related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Associate’s Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, Biology, Chemistry or related field.
Three (3) years’ of professional environmental compliance and/or enforcement experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Bachelor’s Degree and Industrial Pre-Treatment, Fats, Oils and Grease (FOG) Management experience preferred.
Must possess Florida Industrial Pre-Treatment Voluntary Fats Oils and Grease (FOG) Level II certification, an Industrial Pretreatment Level B certification or ability to obtain them within them (1) year of employment.
Must have National Incident Management System (NIMS) certification (level to be determined by job classification requirements) or obtain within one year of employment.
Must have a valid Florida driver’s license and maintain a satisfactory driving record throughout employment.
