Job Description:
An Environmental Officer ensures organizations comply with environmental laws and regulations, promoting sustainability and reducing ecological impact.
They conduct site inspections, monitor air/water quality, manage waste, and investigate pollution incidents.
Key responsibilities include preparing environmental reports, developing compliance strategies, training staff, and ensuring adherence to health and safety standards.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: B.Tech or M.Tech in environmental science, environmental engineering, or a related field is typically required.
Experience: min 3 to 8 yrs experience of thorough understanding of environmental regulations, pollution control technologies, and health and safety standards.
Skills: Strong analytical, communication, and reporting skills are essential, along with technical knowledge of sampling and testing methods.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:
Compliance and Regulation: Ensuring all operations adhere to local, state, and federal environmental legislation.
Inspection and Monitoring: Conducting site visits to factories, farms, or facilities to test air, water, and soil for contamination.
Waste and Pollution Management: Implementing strategies to improve waste management, reduce pollution, and promote sustainability.
Reporting and Documentation: Preparing detailed reports for management or regulatory bodies, and auditing environmental performance.
Incident Response: Investigating environmental accidents, complaints, or complaints, such as chemical spills or illegal dumping.
Training and Education: Raising awareness of environmental policies among staff and promoting best practices for sustainability.
