About the role
At SunRice, sustainability is central to how we operate and grow. As our Sustainability Analyst, you'll strengthen the integrity of our environmental data and help communicate our progress toward sustainable outcomes.
This role blends numbers, narrative and commercial context - bringing together quantitative analysis and qualitative insight. You’ll work across the business to interpret energy, water, waste and emissions data, generate meaningful insights, uplift sustainability capability, and support reporting for the Annual Report, customer questionnaires and global frameworks.

Key responsibilities will include:
- Turning complex sustainability data (energy, water, waste and emissions) into clear insights that help the business understand performance and make better decisions.
- Supporting the development of our annual emissions inventory and tracking progress against reduction targets.
- Strengthening the quality, completeness and consistency of sustainability-related-data by improving processes or systems.
- Contributing to sustainability reporting - from the Annual Report to customer questionnaires and reporting frameworks like CDP and UNGC - making sure our story is credible and accurate.
- Creating dashboards, presentations and other tools that lift understanding of impact, making it easy for teams to understand and identify opportunities in their day-to-day roles.
- Partnering with teams across the business to streamline data collection, improve data integrity and embed sustainability thinking into their operational decisions.
- Keeping across evolving standards, frameworks and trends, and helping identify opportunities to improve how we measure, manage and communicate sustainability performance.
- Supporting projects that support SunRice to progress its sustainability goals and unlock operational efficiencies.
About You
You’re analytical, organised and commercially minded, with a passion for sustainability and a knack for turning data into insight and insight into action. You enjoy working in a corporate environment where you balance competing priorities, collaborate widely, and communicate clearly.
You will also bring:
- You have 2-3 years’ experience in a corporate, financial services or consulting environment, and you’ve had real exposure to sustainability reporting or analytics.
- You’re confident working with complex data sets and can translate sustainability metrics into something meaningful and easy to understand.
- You bring a strong mix of qualitative insight and quantitative rigour, with an eye for detail.
- You’re a great communicator and can turn complex ideas into something simple, clear and engaging.
- You manage busy workloads and changing timelines with ease, staying focused and organised throughout.
- You’re familiar with key sustainability reporting frameworks and guidance’s like GHG Protocol, GRI and ASRS, and understand how they shape corporate reporting.
- You know how to build strong relationships and have the confidence to work across teams, functions and geographies.
- You think commercially - you understand the business context behind sustainability-related actions and the value they create.
- You hold relevant qualifications in sustainability, environmental science, engineering, finance, business or a related field.
- You’re confident in Microsoft Excel, Office and PowerPoint, and bonus points if you’ve spent time with PowerBI, SAP, Watershed or Atticus.
