About the Role:
The Quality and Safety Lead is responsible for overseeing and enhancing the quality management and safety protocols within the organization to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies. This role involves developing, implementing, and continuously improving quality assurance and safety programs that minimize risks and promote a culture of safety across all operational levels. The lead will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify potential hazards, conduct thorough investigations of incidents, and drive corrective actions to prevent recurrence. By analyzing data and trends, the Quality and Safety Lead will provide strategic recommendations to senior management to support informed decision-making and operational excellence. Ultimately, this position ensures that the organization maintains the highest standards of quality and safety, protecting employees, customers, and stakeholders alike.
Location: Sealy, Texas (On-Site)
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive quality and safety management systems in compliance with federal, state, and industry regulations.
- Conduct regular audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to established standards.
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action plans to address quality and safety issues promptly and effectively.
- Collaborate with department leaders to provide training, guidance, and support on quality and safety best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting key findings, trends, and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Quality Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance and safety management within a regulated industry.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, ISO standards, and other relevant quality and safety frameworks.
- Proven experience conducting audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across multiple teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), or equivalent certification.
- Experience with Lean Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Familiarity with environmental health and safety (EHS) software and data analytics tools.
- Advanced degree in a related discipline or relevant professional training.
- Experience working in a multi-site or large-scale operational environment.
