Position Summary
The Manufacturing Operations Analyst is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of manufacturing sales jobs prior to release to production. This role serves as a key quality and process checkpoint by validating Bills of Material (BOM), Bills of Operations (BOO), drawings, and estimated labor times. This role partners closely with Planning, Manufacturing Leadership, and Engineering to support production efficiency, improve operational metrics, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and validate all submitted manufacturing sales jobs to ensure accuracy of BOM, BOO, drawings, and estimated production times prior to release to Manufacturing.
- Partner with the Planner/Scheduler to support development of the monthly job schedule and ensure alignment with production capacity.
- Participate in production and planning meetings to ensure job accuracy and operational readiness.
- Facilitate and manage Roadblock meetings to proactively address production constraints and execution challenges.
- Perform post-completion job analysis to identify improvement opportunities for similar future projects.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering to conduct efficiency studies and recommend process enhancements.
- Analyze manufacturing metrics and recommend process improvements that increase efficiency, reduce rework, and support on-time delivery performance.
- Perform job entry functions as business needs require.
- May perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree preferred.
- 2–5 years of experience in a manufacturing, production analysis, or operations support role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Working knowledge of ERP or MRP systems preferred.
- Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles preferred.
- Previous experience with Epicor preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical engineering drawings.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Regular movement between office and production floor is required.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during the shift.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- No travel required.
