Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager
- The EHS Manager is responsible for leading, developing, and continuously improving Viewrail’s Environmental, Health, and Safety systems across all facilities. This role ensures regulatory compliance, drives risk reduction, and builds a safety culture aligned with operational excellence.

- Responsibilities:
- Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, IDEM, and applicable DOT regulations.
- Maintain all written safety programs, compliance documentation, and records.
- Lead audits, inspections, and corrective action tracking.
- Manage OSHA logs and incident reporting.
- Oversee hazardous waste, Air Permitting, Wastewater treatment, and regulatory compliance reporting.
- Safety Leadership & Culture
- Develop and implement safety strategies aligned with operational goals.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives with plant/department leadership.
- Promote leadership accountability for safety performance.
- Training & Development
- Deliver required EHS training in person or through our learning management system.
- Oversee onboarding safety training materials for new hires.
- Maintain certification and training compliance records.
- Incident Management
- Lead root cause investigations.
- Work with plant leadership to implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Track trends and report KPIs to leadership.
- Environmental Stewardship
- Oversee wastewater treatment and waste disposal.
- Manage SDS program and chemical inventory.
- Ensure safe handling of machining fluids, coatings, and wash systems.
- All other job duties and responsibilities as assigned.

- Days Away, Restricted, Transfer Rate (DART)
- Good -Catch reporting activity
- Training completion rate
- Workers’ compensation cost trends
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and environmental regulations.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills..
- Ability to work well in a goal-oriented, team environment.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong computer skills. (experience with Google Suite preferred)
- Effective problem solving, critical thinking, and decision making skills.
Desired Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years EHS experience in manufacturing.
- 30 hour OSHA certification
- Current First AID & CPR trainer
- Proven experience in plant management or a similar leadership role
- Familiarity with budgeting and financial management
