Develops, implements, and monitors local or company environmental, occupational health and safety (EHS) programs and policies to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and policies. Develops and conducts EHS training, providing guidance and consultation on topics such as emergency response, hazardous material handling, industrial hygiene, life safety, health / wellness, ergonomics and environmental compliance. Recommends and / or implements corrective actions to eliminate or mitigate hazards. Promotes awareness of EHS culture and programs through communication and collaborative team interaction.
Responsibilities- Serve as the primary Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) point of contact for Field Services teams across the western United States and Canada.
- Provide EHS guidance and operational support to all North America Field Services regions.
- Partner with regional and corporate stakeholders to develop, deploy, and continuously enhance EHS programs and initiatives.
- Oversee and administer the PPE Program for all North America Field Services regions to ensure proper selection, use, and compliance.
- Lead or support investigations of field-related incidents, near hits, and vehicle accidents, including root cause analysis and implementation of timely and effective corrective actions.
- Manage the incident management and corrective action tracking system, ensuring all actions are documented, monitored, and closed within defined timelines.
- Deliver EHS training in alignment with the annual training plan and drive 100% completion across assigned teams.
- Maintain accurate, complete, and compliant EHS records, reports, and documentation to meet regulatory and corporate requirements.
- Travel up to 50% to support field operations, including regional site visits and a minimum of two annual trips to headquarters.
- Perform a mix of office-based and field-based responsibilities, including multi‑region travel to support teams and operational needs.
- Conduct comprehensive inspections and audits to identify hazards, assess risks, and drive implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Participate in ride‑alongs, site visits, and field observations to monitor work practices and provide real‑time EHS support.
- Ensure adherence to federal and state OSHA, DOT, EPA, and customer‑specific EHS requirements across field operations.
- Maintain required permits, certifications, and EHS compliance documentation related to field service activities.
QualificationsRequired Qualifications
3–5 years of experience in EHS or a related field.
Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, occupational safety and health, engineering, or a closely related discipline.
Demonstrates strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency in all work.
Possesses a solid understanding of EHS regulations and the ability to apply compliance requirements effectively across field operations.
Experienced in conducting incident investigations, including thorough root cause analysis and development of corrective and preventive actions.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
Skilled in hazard identification and proficient in performing risk assessments.
Exhibits strong communication skills, capable of delivering training and effectively collaborating with employees and senior leadership.
Demonstrates leadership presence and the ability to influence and promote a positive safety culture.
Able to work remotely with sustained productivity, discipline, and effective time management.
Skilled in supporting remote, independently operating field personnel is preferred.
