POSITION OVERVIEW: As a Project Coordinator at LJA Environmental, you will be responsible for supporting the LJA Environmental Sector on all environmental services including but not limited to Phase I ESAs, Water of the U.S Assessments, and NEPA documents. Individual is responsible for the preparation of technical reports and conducting field assessments. Position is intended to be a support role to provide PMs necessary technical resources required for project development and completion. The position is also intended to provide the professional growth of the individual to a Project Coordinator III, Assistant Project Manager, Project Manager.
A TYPICAL DAY MIGHT INCLUDE:
- Perform Phase I and II ESAs, site remediation, soil and groundwater sampling, and field observation documentation to appropriate ASTM, EPA, TCEQ, RRC, or other regulatory standards as appropriate.
- Prepare technical reports and conduct field assessments
REQUIRED EDUCATION/LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:
- BS Degree (MS Degree and/or 1+ years of pertinent experience) in Environmental Science, Geology, in wetland science, aquatic biology, environmental science, marine biology, soil science, rangeland ecology, botany or related field.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1+ years of proven technical experience including site investigation and technical report preparation
- Proficient in performing tasks required for projects under CWA, NEPA, ESA, CERCLA and RCRA and environmental due diligence projects following SOPs
- Excellent writing, communication, and client engagement skills, as well as budget management
- Proven capability to meet schedules and budgets
- Proven ability to work with peers and manage a team effort to meet the field assessment schedule of large/medium projects
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal
- Ability to build strong relationships
