Work Arrangement
This role is categorized as on-site. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to HQ Building in Shanghai, China 3-5 times as per needs.
The student intern will mainly conduct high quality research in the area of battery control system including design, analysis, and testing; contribute to research projects; generate innovative ideas; communicate with managers and colleagues.
What You’ll Do -
- Conduct top notch research in the area of battery control including design, analysis and document results. Support research projects and generate innovative technical solutions.
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
- Ph.D. (preferred) or Master degree students in related disciplines such as electrical engineering, mechanical engineering and automotive engineering. Good research experience in automotive electric drive systems and understanding of research and innovation process. Familiar with power electronics. Demonstrated knowledge in automotive electric drive systems.
- Battery Management Systems (BMS)
- Fundamental understanding of lithium-ion battery behavior and modeling
- Knowledge of BMS architecture (SOC/SOH estimation, protection logic, balancing, fault diagnosis)
- Familiarity with control-oriented modeling is a plus
- dSPACE-Based Development & Testing
- Experience with dSPACE platforms (e.g., MicroAutoBox, SCALEXIO, or equivalent)
- Ability to build an online (HIL) test environment for BMS algorithms
- Experience with MATLAB/Simulink for model-based design and real-time implementation
- Understanding of real-time control and signal I/O configuration
- General Engineering Skills
- Background in electrical engineering, control engineering, or electrochemistry
- Good documentation and reporting skills
- Ability to work independently and integrate software with hardware test setups
