Position Overview
This position is responsible for contributing to product and technology research and development efforts in a manner that meets the needs of customers, achieves growth and profitability objectives, and allows for efficient and effective product introduction.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, plan and implement product and technology development projects from conception to production
- Provide technical support to manufacturing by identifying and implementing process and formulation improvements that improve throughput, reduce cost, enhance quality, improve product performance, enhance worker safety and protect the environment
- Provide technical support to operations and business/technology development, assisting with the identification and assessment of new technology and/or process improvement initiatives
- Establish, maintain, report on and accomplish the priorities established in a technical project plan; manage and control the budgeted expenses associated with the technical plan
- Recognize and respond to seasonal and project-specific time constraints

Minimum Qualifications & Skills
- Master’s degree in chemistry required, PhD preferred
- 1-2 years’ professional research or industrial experience required
- Ability to manage projects independently and meet deadlines
- Detail oriented with strong documentation skillset required
- Ability to travel 10-15%, as required
Physical Requirements and Working Environment
- Working conditions include laboratory work as well as office work
- Must be able to sit/stand for an extended period of time
- Exposure to dust, chemicals, hazardous materials etc.
