About the Position
Job Brief
The Maintenance Inventory Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records while supporting daily warehouse operations through receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping materials. This role also supports maintenance operations by coordinating parts purchasing, delivery, and restocking efforts.
This position requires strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. The successful candidate will perform duties safely and professionally while supporting production needs and maintaining a clean, efficient warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Inventory Management
- Verify and maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing inventory
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages or discrepancies
- Conduct regular inventory counts and audits
- Ensure materials are properly labeled, stored, and tracked
- Warehouse Operations
- Receive, unload, and store incoming inventory items
- Pick, pack, and ship orders to customers and internal locations
- Inspect products for defects or damage and report issues to management
- Maintain organized warehouse layout to support efficient workflow
- Operate warehouse equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks
- Parts Coordination & Purchasing
- Create purchase orders (POs) for stocked and non-stocked maintenance parts
- Utilize maintenance software to receive, process, and close POs accurately
- Coordinate with the Regional Maintenance Supervisor on parts needs and restocking priorities
- Monitor stock levels and communicate when inventory needs replenishment and once levels are restored
- Pick up parts from vendors and deliver to job sites or shop locations as required
- Ensure timely delivery of parts to minimize equipment downtime
- Maintain accurate documentation of purchases, deliveries, and inventory updates
- Safety & Compliance
- Follow all safety policies, procedures, and standard operating practices
- Wear required PPE at all times (safety toe footwear, vest, hard hat, gloves)
- Report all accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions immediately
- Maintain housekeeping standards throughout warehouse areas
- Communication & Coordination
- Maintain consistent communication with the Regional Maintenance Supervisor regarding inventory levels, parts availability, and order status
- Work closely with operations and maintenance teams to support equipment readiness
- Carry out responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
QualificationsQualifications & Physical Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of warehouse or inventory-related experience
- Strong attention to detail with ability to read and interpret inventory records
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and inventory tracking systems
- Ability to operate forklifts and warehouse equipment
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, sit, kneel for extended periods and walk as needed
