Site Facilities & Maintenance Engineer
Location: Preston, PR2 (Multi-Site role – travel required)
Hours: 40 hours per week, Mon – Fri 8am to 5pm
Salary: £16-18 p/h dependant on experience plus company van & equipment provided

The Role
We are expanding our growing Maintenance Team and are looking for a skilled, hands-on Site Facilities & Maintenance Engineer to support our operational sites. We have sites based in Preston, Birmingham and Cumbria.
This is a varied and practical role suited to someone with strong construction and building maintenance experience who takes pride in delivering safe, compliant, high-quality work.

Key Responsibilities
- General office repairs (plumbing, joinery, painting, flooring, decoration)
- Warehouse and building repairs (concreting, brickwork, fencing, cladding, roofing, signage)
- Site upgrades (fire doors, barriers, welding, safety improvements)
- Grounds maintenance
- Supporting plant maintenance engineers where required
- Ordering materials within agreed budgets
- Updating the facilities & maintenance portal and planning weekly activities
This role involves travel between sites and occasional work away, so flexibility is essential.
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has strong hands-on construction and facilities maintenance experience
- Has a good understanding of Health & Safety legislation
- Is self-motivated and able to plan their own workload
- Is computer literate (for maintenance portals and reporting)
- Holds a full UK driving licence (essential)
- Has an FLT licence (advantageous but not essential)
- Is flexible and willing to travel/work away when required
