Food Service Manager - Catering (Full-Time)

The Toledo Zoo is currently seeking a full-time Food Service Catering Manager. The ideal candidate will be a forward-thinking, organized individual interested in working in a high volume and fast-paced environment while supporting our mission to: Enjoy. Inspire. Educate. Act!
Under general supervision and maintaining strict confidentiality, this position is responsible for managing all daily aspects of Catering operations. Duties will include supervision of subordinate catering personnel in the maintenance of facilities, guest services, and labor control. In addition, this individual will monitor/ maintain excellent food and beverage quality, sanitation standards, and overall guest services.
The Food Service Catering Manager reports to the Senior Food Service Catering Manager, is non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act and requires forty hours per scheduled work week.
Minimum Training and Experience
- A degree from a Culinary or Hospitality program and a minimum of five years of experience in a similar capacity preferred. A combination of education and experience may be considered to provide the necessary knowledge to fill the position.
- Supervisory experience required.
- Must have a valid drivers’ license and be insurable by the fleet insurance carrier.
- Must be at least 21+ years of age.
