The Solar Technician is responsible for p<\/span><\/span><\/span>erformin troubleshooting, diagnostics, and service work on solar PV and energy storage systems, including Enphase microinverter systems, Tesla battery systems, SMA inverters, and SolarEdge inverters and optimizers<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/span><\/span>
Support service and troubleshooting across string inverter and microinverter architectures, monitoring platforms, and balance -of -system components<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/div>Diagnose issues related to inverter communications, monitoring errors, production issues, battery operation, and system performance<\/span><\/span>

<\/span><\/p>
Perform solar, electrical, or building inspections as scheduled<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li>Coordinate inspections with customers and jurisdictions<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li>Maintain an organized and efficient calendar, highlighting existing appointments, as well as availability for additional inspections<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li>Build a positive and lasting customer experience, discussing project timelines post inspection signoff, detailing and communicating concerns internally<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li>Use software systems to record, maintain and update project specific deliverables and tasks<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li>Complete unforeseeable minor punch list items such as painting conduit, applying NEC stickers/placards, etc.<\/span>

Solar Technician 's Requirements, Education, Skills, Qualifications and Experience:<\/b><\/span>
<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/span><\/span>
Hands -on service and troubleshooting experience with rooftop solar PV and battery storage systems<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/li><\/ul><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/span><\/span>Direct experience with or strong working knowledge of the following technologies is strongly preferred:<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/li>Enphase microinverters and Enphase monitoring platforms<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/li>Tesla battery storage systems (including Powerwall)<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/li>SolarEdge inverters, optimizers, and monitoring systems<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/li>SMA string inverters and related equipment<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/li>Experience diagnosing inverter, microinverter, optimizer, battery, and communication -related issues<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/li>Familiarity with multiple racking and mounting system manufacturers is a plus<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/li>Working knowledge of electrical theory, NEC -related requirements, and solar -specific electrical troubleshooting<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/li>Experience troubleshooting roof penetrations, mounting interfaces, and water intrusion concerns related to rooftop solar systems<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/li>Comfortable working from service tickets, schedules, and workflows within a company CRM or service management platform<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/li>Strong documentation skills, including service notes, photos, system findings, and resolution tracking<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/li>Excellent customer service, communication, and problem -solving skills with homeowners and internal teams<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/li>Ability to work independently or as<\/span> part of a small crew in a fast -paced service environment<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/li>Strong organizational, delegation, and multitasking abilities<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/li><\/span><\/span><\/span>Bilingual (English / Spanish) preferred
<\/li>Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record<\/span>
<\/li>Ability to pass a driving background check<\/span>
<\/li><\/ul>Solar Technician 's Physical Demands and Working Conditions<\/b>
<\/span><\/p>
Essential physical requirements, included climbing, standing, stooping, bend, squat, stretch.
<\/li>Physical effort/lifting up to 10 pounds; light - up to 20 pounds; medium - up to 50 pounds; heavy - over 50 pounds.
<\/li>Ability to work in all weather and climates
<\/li>Ability to work in confined spaces, such as attics
<\/li>Must be able to work with heights; ascends/descends a ladder to rooftops.
<\/li>While working conditions can vary depending on the specific position, this job will require you to be outdoors for extended periods of time. Solar installation and maintenance can only be done when the weather is good, expect long hours during these times in order to get as much work done as possible.
<\/li>Keep in mind that you may be required to work at heights necessary to get the work done, and that you can meet the physical demand of working on a rooftop. Additionally, solar technicians will sometimes need to work in attics or crawl into tight spaces as they will need to hook up the solar panels to the electric grid.
