Job Description: Missouri Organic Recycling is seeking a dedicated Cashier to join our team. As a Cashier, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate transactions and providing friendly advice to our valued clients. Your attention to detail and commitment to excellent customer service will contribute to the seamless operation of our business. Saturdays are required for this position.
Employment Type: Full-time and Part-time opportunities
Schedule: 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday through Saturday
Environment Type: On-site, Outdoors occasionally
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor when interacting with customers and colleagues by greeting customers warmly, maintaining eye contact, and using polite language.
Answer phone calls promptly, ensuring all communication is courteous and effective.
Assist customers with product inquiries, site layout, and product locations.
Communicate any issues requiring management assistance in a timely manner.
Process register transactions for sales and returns accurately and efficiently.
Follow all cash register transaction procedures.
Ensure the register drawer is balanced at the end of each shift.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Ensure the area is well-stocked, replenish supplies as needed.
Perform additional tasks and duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications we consider:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Proficiency in cash handling, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team, supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive work environment.
- Willingness to offer helpful suggestions and guidance to customers, enhancing their experience.
- Comfortable working outdoors as needed.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs. occasionally.
