Crusoe's mission is to accelerate the abundance of energy and intelligence. We’re crafting the engine that powers a world where people can create ambitiously with AI — without sacrificing scale, speed, or sustainability.
Be a part of the AI revolution with sustainable technology at Crusoe. Here, you'll drive meaningful innovation, make a tangible impact, and join a team that’s setting the pace for responsible, transformative cloud infrastructure.
About the Role:
The Principal Product Manager for General Compute is a product authority who defines the strategic direction for Crusoe Cloud's foundational compute platform. You'll take broad ownership of compute infrastructure spanning GPU and CPU offerings, bare metal and virtualized environments, and the orchestration layers that power AI training and inference workloads. This role shapes how Crusoe competes in cloud infrastructure, influencing company-level strategy on platform evolution, market positioning, and capital allocation.
You'll operate across organizational boundaries, defining direction across multiple product portfolios where alignment is critical but ownership is distributed. This includes integrating compute strategy with networking, storage, security, and managed AI services to deliver cohesive infrastructure experiences. You'll frame strategic tradeoffs between technical investment, market timing, and business outcomes, ensuring local optimizations don't create systemic inefficiencies.
As a Principal Product Manager, you'll identify emerging opportunities before they're visible to the broader organization, bringing structure to ambiguous strategic questions like new market entry, platform shifts, or architectural transitions. You'll deliver step-function impact on company trajectory through initiatives that materially change revenue potential, cost structure, or competitive differentiation. Your influence extends beyond product into partnerships, go-to-market strategy, and long-term platform evolution.
What You'll Be Working On:
Define and own the strategic direction for Crusoe's general compute platform, shaping multi-year product narratives that guide investment across engineering, infrastructure, and GTM teams
Operate across organizational boundaries to align compute strategy with networking, storage, managed services, and go-to-market teams, ensuring cohesive platform evolution
Shape executive decision-making by framing tradeoffs between infrastructure investment, market positioning, customer demand, and long-term business outcomes
Identify emerging risks and opportunities in AI infrastructure before they become visible—new workload patterns, architectural shifts, competitive dynamics, or technology transitions
Define the problem space when ambiguity is highest and organizational alignment doesn't exist, creating clarity for multiple teams to execute against shared vision
Ensure execution succeeds at scale by defining operating models, sequencing major investments, resolving cross-organizational friction, and maintaining accountability for outcomes spanning multiple teams
Drive initiatives that materially change Crusoe's revenue potential, cost structure, or competitive differentiation in cloud infrastructure
Synthesize market trends, technological shifts (GPU roadmaps, virtualization evolution, AI framework requirements), and economic realities into actionable strategy
Establish durable product frameworks and decision models that other Product Manager and teams adopt for evaluating compute investments and customer requirements
Anticipate second- and third-order effects across the ecosystem—how compute decisions impact network topology, cooling economics, energy strategy, or customer contract structures
Lead strategic customer and partner discussions, representing Crusoe's compute vision and gathering insights that inform platform direction
Mentor product managers and engineers across the organization, modeling Crusoe values and developing the next generation of infrastructure product leaders
Influence how Crusoe allocates capital to compute infrastructure, balancing GPU vs CPU investment, bare metal vs virtualization, and custom vs standard offerings
What You'll Bring to the Team:
Required:
10+ years of product management experience with deep expertise in cloud infrastructure, HPC, or large-scale compute platforms
Proven track record defining strategic direction that shapes multiple product portfolios and informs company-level planning
Demonstrated ability to deliver step-function impact on business trajectory through initiatives that materially change revenue, cost structure, or competitive positioning
Expertise solving problems spanning organizational, technical, and business dimensions simultaneously—integrating infrastructure constraints, economic models, customer demand, and platform implications
Strong track record operating across organizational boundaries to influence strategy at company level, including executive decision-making and capital allocation
Experience defining new problem spaces when ambiguity is highest, bringing structure to strategic questions without established precedent
Deep understanding of AI infrastructure including GPU platforms, distributed training systems, inference optimization, and evolving workload characteristics
Proven ability to anticipate second- and third-order effects, ensuring local optimizations don't create systemic inefficiencies across complex ecosystems
Excellent communication skills translating technical complexity into strategic narratives for executives, customers, and partners
Active mentor and role model who develops product management and engineering talent across the organization
