As an Environmental Student in Edmonton, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teammates and access a global network of science and engineering expertise.
Your Impact
- Support field and office activities for environmental site assessment, remediation, and reclamation programs.
- Conduct soil and groundwater sampling, vegetation assessments, and detailed site assessments that directly inform client decisions and regulatory compliance.
- Prepare and follow project‑specific health and safety plans to ensure a safe working environment for clients, colleagues, and communities.
- Identify and report potential hazards, near‑loss, and loss incidents to strengthen safe project delivery.
- Maintain clear, accurate, and defensible field notes, ensuring high‑quality data collection and sample documentation.
- Assist in organizing, filing, and managing field records, contributing to efficient workflows and timely reporting.
- Support data entry and preparation of technical reports under the guidance of experienced scientists and technical specialists.
- Perform assigned field and office tasks efficiently and in line with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

- Currently enrolled in an environmental sciences or related university program, with enthusiasm for applying your academic knowledge in real‑world environments.
- Comfortable working outdoors and willing to travel to support field programs across Alberta.
- Strong safety mindset with the ability to recognize, communicate, and help mitigate worksite hazards.
- Detail‑oriented with the ability to maintain high‑quality field documentation and follow technical procedures.
- Self‑motivated, curious, and able to complete tasks with limited supervision while knowing when to ask questions.
- Hold a valid driver’s licence and can adapt to varying field conditions.

Compensation:
- AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $24.00 – $32.25/hr
- MB & ON: $22.50 – $30.25/hr
- NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $21.50 – $30.25/hr
