Our client is seeking a Project Engineer to join their team in York, PA. This is a low-volume, precision-focused manufacturing environment with a strong emphasis on work/life balance, typically maintaining an eight-hour workday. The role blends project management and technical sales, with most time spent supporting active accounts and proposing custom-engineered solutions. Sales cycles average from a year to a year and a half, making this ideal for someone who enjoys long-term relationship building and managing projects from start to finish. Prior sales experience is not required for this role. The team is looking for someone who genuinely enjoys meeting new people and can leverage their mechanical aptitude to help solve customers’ manufacturing challenges. In many cases, you’ll play an integral role in modernizing processes that may have remained unchanged for decades. Project Engineer (project management exp. req.) Responsibilities
• Develop relationships with OEMs and propose custom engineered solutions
• Work closely with manufacturing sales representatives
• Prepare and set-up proof-of-concept lab tests
• Generate customer proposals and enter sales orders accurately
• Provide project management support for custom equipment builds
• Nurture existing accounts while identifying and developing future project opportunities
• Attend trade shows and travel to customers (up to 25%)
• Manage sales of parts and provide technical support to customers
• Pursue ongoing product and application training to develop subject matter expertise
Project Engineer (project management exp. req.) Qualifications
• Minimum 2 years of project management experience within manufacturing required
• Strong mechanical aptitude required
• Ability to work onsite when not traveling (25% of domestic travel required)
