Greenvolt is seeking a Quality & Environmental Manager to ensure that all Engineering & Construction (E&C) activities across utility‑scale projects comply with the highest standards of quality assurance, environmental protection, and regulatory compliance. The role supports the E&C Director in embedding a culture of continuous improvement, environmental stewardship, and operational excellence throughout project development, construction, and commissioning.
The position aligns with Greenvolt’s environmental management approach, which emphasises impact prevention, regulatory compliance, circularity, and proactive environmental risk management.
Key accountabilities
A. Quality Management
• Develop, implement, and maintain the E&C Quality Management System (QMS) for utility scale projects.
• Define and monitor quality standards, acceptance criteria, and inspection/testing protocols during engineering and construction.
• Lead quality planning during pre construction: contractor qualification, specification reviews, supplier audits, and documentation checks.
• Oversee Site Quality Plans, ensuring alignment with corporate standards and project contractual obligations.
• Conduct internal and external audits, manage non conformities, and track corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Ensure contractors, EPC partners, OEMs, and suppliers meet Greenvolt quality requirements.
• Prepare quality performance reports for the E&C Director and leadership.
B. Environmental Management
• Develop and implement the Environmental Management Plan (EMP) for utility scale projects throughout development, construction, and commissioning.
• Ensure compliance with local environmental laws, permits, and voluntary commitments.
• Coordinate environmental studies (EIA, biodiversity assessments, waste management plans, water/soil protection measures).
• Monitor contractors’ environmental performance: waste management, spill control, noise/dust management, wildlife protection, land restoration, circularity initiatives, etc.
• Lead environmental incident investigations and ensure reporting and mitigation measures.
• Oversee emergency response preparedness aligned with Greenvolt HSE systems.
• Support due diligence and permitting phases with environmental risk assessments.
C. Governance, Standards & Continuous Improvement
• Contribute to the establishment and continuous improvement of Environmental & Quality policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks.
• Ensure alignment with corporate Sustainability Policy, Biodiversity Policy, and ESG strategy (reflected in Greenvolt’s frameworks).
• Implement lessons learned and standardization across geographies, ensuring coherence of procedures within the E&C team.
D. Cross Functional Collaboration
• Work closely with Development, Grid, Procurement, Engineering, Construction, HSE, and local country teams.
• Support procurement in evaluating supplier quality and environmental performance.
• Provide training and awareness on quality and environmental standards to internal teams and contractors.
• Support project managers and site teams with technical guidance and decision making.
Requirements- Degree in Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Renewable Energy, Civil Engineering, or similar.
- Additional qualifications in Quality Management (ISO 9001), Environmental Management (ISO 14001) or Sustainability preferred.
- 5–10 years experience in utility scale renewable energy, EPC, or construction sector.
- Proven experience implementing QMS and EMS in large scale infrastructure or energy projects.
- Strong knowledge of environmental legislation and permitting for wind/solar/BESS projects.
- Experience in contractor management, audits, and non conformity processes
- Solid knowledge of ISO standards: 9001, 14001, 45001 (advantage).
- Strong analytical, reporting, and problem solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to influence both internal teams and contractors.
- High attention to detail and organizational discipline.
- Fluent English; additional languages are a plus.
