About You
We’re looking for someone who has:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or a related field is required.
- Professional Engineering (P.E.) licensure is required.
- A minimum of 15 years of professional experience in water, wastewater, stormwater/conveyance, and treatment projects in a consulting capacity is preferred, including at least 10 years as a Project Manager overseeing project delivery.
- Experience working with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and water/sewer modeling software.
- Proficient with MS Office Suite, MS Project, Adobe Suite, Bluebeam, Deltek Vantagepoint, and Power BI.
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, local and state design codes, and standards is required.
- Proven ability to develop project plans, anticipate and address project issues, lead client meetings, and oversee the completion of technical reports.
- Must be exceptional in written and oral communication, with the ability to lead, develop, and deliver highly persuasive presentations that build client confidence and result in securing favorable design contracts.

About the Role
The Project Delivery Leader (PDL), reporting to the Market Vice President (MVP), is a senior leader based in Dallas, TX, responsible for the profitable delivery of a diverse water project portfolio. The PDL manages and oversees Dallas-based Project Managers, ensuring effective project execution and team development. Collaborating closely with Project Executives (PX) and staffing leaders, the PDL drives client satisfaction and supports staff growth. The role also includes serving as a Senior Project Manager on select projects.
As a Project Delivery Leader, you will:
Project Delivery
- Collaborate with PDLs in each region to conduct monthly project reviews for the design portfolio.
- Partner with the MVP to evaluate project risk across the market’s design portfolio.
- Conduct regular quality and project audits to assess the overall health of the design portfolio; report findings to the MVP and PDLs.
- Facilitate “healthy start” meetings with Project Managers and PDLs for design projects to establish clear management and delivery plans.
Project Management
- Oversee multiple complex water infrastructure projects, coordinating all phases from planning through delivery.
- Provide leadership and strategic direction for water infrastructure projects, including water, wastewater, stormwater/conveyance, and treatment.
- Understand and communicate project goals effectively to ensure client expectations are consistently met.
- Support business development by participating in pursuit interviews, building client relationships, and delivering presentations.
- Contribute senior-level technical expertise to the W+E Technical Leadership Program across relevant water projects.
Mentorship and Talent Development
- Lead recruitment and hiring of Project Managers and other staff for the Dallas office.
- Mentor design staff, promote career growth, and foster a strong design culture.
- Cultivate a collaborative and inspiring environment for detailed design delivery.
