Project Manager - Solar and Energy Storage
Location: El Segundo, CA, 90245 (on-site presence at the office and residential job sites required based on project needs)
Xero Solar is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee solar PV and energy storage projects, with a strong emphasis on new construction homes. This role is responsible for managing projects from sales handoff through closeout, coordinating across internal teams, customers, contractors, utilities, and AHJs to deliver high-quality systems on schedule and on budget.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of residential solar PV and energy storage projects from sales handoff through project completion
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, including Sales, Engineering, and Installation.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle
- Support Business Development and Engineering with system design input and value engineering
- Plan and manage project schedules, procurement, budgets, invoicing, and documentation
- Maintain strong working relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers, inspectors, and internal teams
- Identify, mitigate, and manage project risks
- Coordinate with local utilities and city inspectors for compliance and timely processing of all projects
- Oversee escalated project issues with the support of the Construction Manager and Superintendent
- Uphold a high standard of professionalism, urgency, accountability, and integrity across all projects
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in construction or project management (residential construction experience strongly preferred)
- Comfortable working on and visiting active construction sites
- Strong communication skills with the ability to manage clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to take ownership, embrace challenges, and continuously improve processes
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and follow-through skills
- Comfortable using CRM and project management software
- Strong written and verbal skills, including handling challenging conversations professionally

Salary Range: $75,000 to $110,000/year
