DescriptionThe Senior Energy Storage Consultant will lead and deliver technical, engineering, and advisory services for Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects across the China. The role includes technical due diligence, Owner’s Engineer (OE) services, design reviews, construction monitoring, procurement support, and project management.
This position strengthens our growing presence in Shanghai, supported by recent OE assignments and technical reviews in the market
Key Responsibilities
1. Owner’s Engineer (OE) Services
- Lead technical design reviews, quality audits, and compliance checks aligned with OE scopes already performed in the China
- Conduct site inspections during construction, commissioning, and testing.
- Monitor EPC / integrator performance, review progress claims, and validate milestone achievements.
- Support safety workshops, HAZID reviews, and operational readiness assessments.
2. Project Management & Delivery
- Manage project timelines, deliverables, resources, and stakeholder communication.
- Coordinate multi‑disciplinary teams (local and regional) to ensure high‑quality delivery.
- Provide clear and concise reporting to clients and project sponsors.
3. Procurement & Commercial Support
- Support tender preparation, technical specifications, and Employer’s Requirements.
- Conduct supplier evaluations and assist in technology/contract negotiations.
- Review bids and provide technical recommendations.
4. Market & Customer Engagement
- Act as a senior technical advisor to energy developers, utilities, financial institutions, and government stakeholders.

Qualifications- 5–10 years of experience in energy storage, power systems, renewable energy, or EPC/OE roles.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Renewable Energy, or related engineering fields.
- Strong understanding of BESS components, controls, safety standards, and grid requirements.
- Proven experience in project execution, technical reviews, construction supervision, or commissioning.
- Strong analytical and engineering review capabilities.
- Excellent communication and customer‑facing skills.
- Ability to lead multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with China energy regulatory processes, permitting, and utility interconnection is an advantage.
- Proficiency in technical writing and reporting.
