Position Overview
This position is responsible for ensuring that all food safety requirements are being followed at the assigned plant(s).
Key Responsibilities
Support the Plant Supervisor in achieving food safety and quality objectives
Manage and maintain the site’s SQF-based Quality Management System and certification
Oversee sanitation, environmental monitoring, and integrated pest control programs
Lead food safety investigations, including microbiological concerns, incidents, and customer complaints, and implement corrective actions
Develop, update, and audit food safety and quality programs, including internal audits, traceability exercises, and mock recalls
Monitor incoming materials, validate daily food safety and quality testing, and manage product status within the ERP system

Minimum Qualifications & Skills
Physical Requirements and Working Environment
Both office and plant environment
May be required to travel to other Andersons sites to assist in internal audits
Usually work a standard work week (normal business hours), but may be required to work overtime hours
Extensive computer work
Frequent deadline pressures
Manage numerous projects in progress at any given time
Comply with all Andersons safety regulations
Exposure to machinery, forklifts, and related production equipment
