DescriptionThe Electrician will assist their designated warehouse in the performance of their job duties, such as installing solar systems, and possess a Master's or Journeyman's electrical license.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Safe Travel & Professional Conduct: Drive safely to job sites, arrive on time, and be fully prepared with all necessary tools and documents. Always maintaining a professional appearance and character on all job sites and with all customers and including maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
- Customer Introduction: Greet the customer professionally, introduce yourself, explain the installation process, and answer any initial questions.
- Pet Safety Awareness: Politely ask the customer to secure any pets (dogs, cats, etc.) to prevent interference and ensure a safe working environment for all parties (installers, techs, inspectors, electricians) and the animals.
- Customer Communication: Maintain clear and respectful communication with the customer, providing updates and setting expectations throughout the visit.
- Timeliness & Preparedness: Maintaining a well-stocked vehicle with any and all required tools and/or equipment to ensure successful installation.
- Documentation & Uploads: (When Applicable) Upload all data, update projects, and notes accurately and promptly into internal platforms. Handle any paperwork in an organized manner (i.e., taking paperwork for inspections from the warehouse and returning it promptly)
- Team Collaboration: Coordinate closely with office management as required as well as assisting the office with additional work to ensure movement of projects. Provide ongoing feedback and support pertaining to ways in which the installation teams may be improved upon. Maintain and promote strong morale amongst the installation team
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and awareness of surroundings on roofs and residential properties, ensure knowledge and comfort with OSHA safety standards and strict adherence to company safety policies regarding fall protection, protective equipment, tailgate training and more.
- Work Conditions & Weight Requirements: Ability to work in extreme environments (example: hot sun, cold), including climbing ladders and working at elevated heights of two or more stories, must be comfortable being harnessed on a roof while some roofs may be steep in pitch and able to work with various ground and roof mount racking systems. Ability to climb ladders, comfortably lift 50 lbs. repeatedly and overhead to install Solar PV Systems
- Trade Knowledge: Must have vast knowledge of the National Electrical Code, troubleshooting, and layout, ability to read drawings, electrical single line diagrams and NEC codes that relate to PV installations, proficiency in installing all types of grid-tied inverters. Ensure quality control of solar installations.
- Use of Company Vehicle: Must have a valid Drivers License at all times, maintain a well-organized company vehicle.
