We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Embedded Software Engineer to help advance our next‑generation Telematics Linux platform. In this role, you will contribute to the core technologies that enable critical vehicle functions—network communication, connectivity, telemetry, and over‑the‑air software updates. You will work on cutting‑edge embedded Linux systems developed in‑house and play a key role in shaping the future of vehicle connectivity.

Key Responsibilities
· Design, develop, and optimize software for the Telematics Control Unit (TCU)
· Maintain and evolve Embedded Linux platforms across multiple hardware variants
· Profile and stress‑test board interfaces, build automated instrumentation, and ensure platform‑level quality of service (QoS)
· Implement features, unit tests, component tests, and technical documentation using a modern C++‑based technology stack
· Deliver high‑quality software with strong involvement in automated testing (SIL & HIL environments)
· Contribute to HW Virtualization initiatives for platform validation and development
· Actively participate in ideation sessions, requirements discussions, design reviews, and code reviews
· Collaborate on defining multi‑core Linux software architecture
· Contribute to the design and development of software test plans and validation strategies
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field
· Strong proficiency in Object‑Oriented Programming, data structures, and algorithms
· 7+ years of hands‑on experience developing C/C++ software for embedded systems, including embedded Linux
· In depth first-hand experience with networking stack and protocols
· Proficiency with modern embedded networks TC10, VLAN configurations with high availability requirements
· Advanced debugging skills with strong problem‑solving intuition and experience using modern debugging tools and techniques
· Proficiency in CPU and memory profiling, performance analysis, and system‑level optimization for C/C++ applications
· Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with a track record of driving collaborative delivery
· Expert‑level proficiency with Git and modern development workflows
· Experience with networking protocols such as TCP/UDP, MQTT, REST
· Strong understanding of inter‑process communication (IPC) mechanisms: sockets, message queues, shared memory, and signal handling
Preferred Qualifications
· Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field
· QEMU hands on experience virtualizing interfaces
· Experience designing secure embedded software and working with cybersecurity principles
· Solid understanding of the Linux kernel, YOCTO build system, and embedded Linux fundamentals
· Background in automotive software development or safety‑critical systems
· Experience with DevOps tools and processes for embedded systems, including Docker and CI/CD pipelines
· Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
