DescriptionWe are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead our Project Management support team at the Indian Global Capability Centre (GCC), supporting the UK/Ireland/India Sustainability Advisory Team. The ideal candidate will have strong project management and international team leadership experience and is ready to take on greater responsibility in delivering complex projects within a global consultancy.
This role will manage and grow a team providing structured project management support to Sustainability Advisory teams across ESG, Carbon, Health and Safety, Permitting, and circular economy. You will collaborate with Project Directors and multidisciplinary teams to ensure efficient delivery of sustainability services for major infrastructure, development, and environmental enhancement projects.
ResponsibilitiesAs Senior Manager within the Sustainability Advisory business unit:
Provide strategic direction, coaching, and support to team members, ensuring high performance, professional growth, and alignment with organisational goals.
Oversee project delivery standards - establish, monitor, and enforce best practices and quality standards across all projects, ensuring consistent and successful project outcomes.
Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between team members, Project Managers and Directors, and other stakeholders, resolving escalated issues and ensuring seamless project execution.
Drive continuous improvement - identify opportunities for process optimization, implement improvements, and champion innovation within the team to enhance efficiency, risk management, and client satisfaction.
- Monitoring and reporting of project finances and reporting both within the business and with the client.
- Optimising the resource balance, across the programme, and ensuring all deliverables and milestones are achieved on time and to the right quality.
- Acting as a role model and mentor for other project management staff within the wider business
QualificationsKey Competencies
Essential:
Education & Experience
- Degree in a relevant discipline (such as environment, project management, engineering, science, building or quantity surveying) or a combination of relevant project management experience and qualifications.
Demonstrable project management skills (10-13 years) reflecting the responsibilities above. Holding a relevant project management qualification, e.g. PMP, Prince2, APM-PMQ.
Managing a team of staff within a project or PMO environment, with a preference for a background or interest in environment or sustainability sectors.
