DescriptionWe are seeking a Project Manager to be part of the Indian Global Capability Centre (GCC), supporting the UK/Ireland/India Sustainability Advisory Team. The ideal candidate will have strong project management and international team leadership experience and is ready to take on greater responsibility in delivering complex projects within a global consultancy.
This role will be providing structured project management support to Sustainability Advisory teams across ESG, Carbon, Health and Safety, Permitting, and circular economy. You will collaborate with Project Managers and multidisciplinary teams to ensure efficient delivery of sustainability services for major infrastructure, development, and environmental enhancement projects.
ResponsibilitiesAs a Project Manager within Sustainability Advisory Business unit:
- Lead and support project planning, controls, and reporting in line with BMS and PMO frameworks.
- Ensure project compliance with governance standards and contractual obligations.
- Maintain project reporting calendars and coordinate periodic reviews.
- Develop and maintain project finance dashboards and EAC forecasts.
- Track team utilisation and support resource planning across multiple projects.
- Manage onboarding/offboarding processes and maintain compliance matrices
- Act as a focal point for client communications and issue resolution.
- Support project managers and technical leads in delivering design deliverables.
- Participate in PMO Steering Group initiatives and strategy refinement
- Maintain risk registers and implement mitigation strategies.
- Oversee change control processes and associated financials.
- Promote continuous improvement in project delivery and PMO operations.
- Review and advise on the contract scope and discuss with project delivery team.
- Manage project controls through WSP and client systems.
- Support the management of reporting and cost controls in collaboration with the Project Director and Technical Manager on the project
- Collaborate with clients, architects, and subconsultants to ensure value engineering and risk mitigation strategies are implemented
- Developing KPIs with assistance from the Technical Manager and Senior PM
- You will ensure that quality procedures are being adhered to through discussion Technical Leads
- Discuss where efficiencies could be made to give the client 'added value'
QualificationsKey Competencies
Essential:
Education & Experience
- Degree in a relevant discipline (such as environment, project management, engineering, science, building or quantity surveying) or a combination of relevant project management experience and qualifications.
Demonstrable project management skills (7-10 years) reflecting the responsibilities above. Holding a relevant project management qualification, e.g. PMP, Prince2, APM-PMQ.
Preference for a background or interest in environment or sustainability sectors.
Language Proficiency

- Experience in project management, preferably within infrastructure, property, or Sustainability consultancy environments
- Strong understanding of project controls, governance, and financial tracking
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel and Power Point
- Hands-on experience in MS Project, Primavera and Power BI
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Experience managing internal teams and interfacing with client organisations
- Comfortable receiving instructions, executing defined tasks, and accepting personal responsibility for actions.
Technical & Professional Skills
Knowledgeable about industry standards and best practices in project or design management.
Effective team player, able to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Evidence of commercial and contractual awareness, with the ability to demonstrate financial acumen and analytical skills. Experience of Oracle systems would be an advantage
