Job Purpose or Objective(s): Implementing Choctaw Nation’s environmental programs for all tribal facilities, fee and trust lands by creating trainings (both in-person and digitally), social media material, and informational material for distribution. You will report to the Environmental Compliance Officer.
Primary Tasks:
1. You will assure compliance with federal, state, local, and tribal regulations for Choctaw Nation facilities by scheduling, conducting, documenting, and following up on sample collections, inspections, and walk throughs.
2. You will audit and compile data to ensure it meets Federal guidelines. Complete reviews and assessments and submit to for review and signatures.
3. You will respond to Choctaw Nation internal requests for environmental related assistance.
4. You will train site staff on responsibilities associated with federal, state, local, and tribal regulations.
5. You will maintain necessary technical and laboratory certifications to conduct assigned tasks. Analyze data.
6. You will maintain Choctaw Nation environmental policies.
7. You will implement environmental policies and best management practices.
8. You will maintain good documentation of all job-related activities.
9. You will compile quarterly progress reports. Complete status and progress reporting documents per program goals. Review monthly financial reports and maintain budget spreadsheets (can maintain complex spreadsheets). Maintain and revise grant goals and budget and monitor line-item fluctuations to complete funding obligations.
10. Other tasks as assigned by management.
Minimum Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in a science related field and three [3] years of related work in the environmental field, OR seven [7] years of directly related experience in lieu of education.
· Work independently or in a group and manage priorities independently.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
