We are looking for a Senior Environmental Scientist to oversee, review, and sign off on Stage I, and II, Site Investigations as well as remediation reports. This role calls for an Environmental Professional with strong technical expertise and a commitment to environmental stewardship and regulatory compliance in site assessment and remediation practices.

As a Senior Technical Advisor, you will play a key role in managing surface land deliverables across a range of oil and gas and facility-related projects throughout British Columbia. Your experience in environmental site assessments and surface land remediation programs will be critical to the success of our operations.

Make a Difference
Oversee Stage 1 and Stage 2 Preliminary Site Investigations, Detailed Site Investigations and remediation programs for industrial and oil and gas clients.
Develop and implement creative solutions for clients’ environmental challenges.
Lead and supervise small and large-scale remediation projects.
Analyze and interpret collected information; review and sign off on technical reports.
Stay current with relevant regulations, codes, and industry best practices to ensure clients adheres to all applicable standards
Provide direction for long term Certificates of Restoration from the BCER
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, directives, and SOP’s.
Work closely to develop client relationships and project strategy.
Lead and champion a culture of excellence, ensuring adherence to the highest standards of health, safety, and quality across all areas of operation.
Proactively identify and mitigate risks, while fostering continuous improvement and compliance with regulatory and external client requirements.
Showcase your Education & Expertise
Bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, biological science or related field.
Registration with a British Columbia professional association.
8+ years' experience with environmental site assessments, soil sampling, groundwater monitoring and site remediation.
Ability to work both independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
Possess strong interpersonal skills, communication skills and technical writing skills.
Effective management of activities requiring the use of environmental consultants or contractors.
Good sense of humour and strong admiration of all things Swayze (Patrick) is an asset.
Role requires a valid driver’s license.
