Responsibilities: Conduct environmental testing of components, assemblies, and systems, including vibration, shock, temperature, humidity, EMI/EMC, salt fog, and related tests (as applicable to lab capabilities). Set up test fixtures, instrumentation, sensors, and data acquisition systems. Operate environmental chambers, vibration tables, and associated laboratory equipment. Monitor tests in progress, document results, and flag anomalies or deviations. Perform calibration checks and routine maintenance of lab equipment in accordance with established procedures. Support development and review of test plans, procedures, and reports. Maintain accurate test logs, data sheets, and configuration records. Ensure all testing is conducted safely and in accordance with laboratory and DoD standards. Assist engineers, technicians, and program personnel with test execution and troubleshooting activities.
Certificates/Security Clearances/OtherMust be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance. An Active Secret Security Clearance is preferred.
Experience: A minimum of ten (10) years experience.Experience working in a technical, laboratory, or test environment. Understanding of environmental test methods (MIL-STD-810 or similar preferred). Ability to read and interpret technical data, schematics, and procedures.
Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on skills in tool usage and equipment setup. Proficiency with basic measurement instruments (multimeters, sensors, gauges, etc.). Excellent attention to detail and ability to accurately document test results. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Prior experience in DoD or government laboratory environments. Experience executing standardized test procedures. Familiarity with data acquisition systems and instrumentation.
