Ohio EPA wants you to join our team as an environmental supervisor in the Division of Environmental and Financial Assistance (DEFA)at our Central Office in Columbus, Ohio.

You'll play a key role in DEFA by guiding a dedicated team working to provide low-cost loans and grants for drinking water improvement projects throughout the state.
As supervisor, you’ll review and track project nominations,applications, andschedules to ensure compliance with program and staterequirements. You’ll track loan/grant costs and approvepaymentrequests andmaintain accurate and complete files and project documents in our AIMS database.
You’ll assign projects to staff and guide them on reviewing applications and navigating project specifics. You’ll track and monitor staff work, conduct performance reviews, and develop, recommend, and implement staff professional development activities.
You’ll maintain close coordination and communication withother DEFA sections toensuretimely andaccurate executionofdivisionresponsibilities and alignment with the division’s goals. You’ll also communicate with external parties, answer inquiries from citizens, funding applicants and public officials, and represent DEFA at public meetings and events.
Experience in program coordination or project management is a plus and the ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of budgeting, accounting and financial reviews, strong communication and organization skills, and be able to juggle multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
