General Description
The Asset Management Services Department has an opening for Facilities Environment Tech Team Coordinator.
The work involves the primary responsibility for performing a variety of scheduled custodial services to maintain the cleanliness of County facilities and to provide leadership to Facilities Environment Technician staff. An employee in this class is responsible for collecting and disposing of refuse, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning restrooms and replenishing soap, toilet paper and towels. An employee in this class maintains a good working relationship and works closely with the Facility Environment and Support Manager as they share in and collaborate on some functions dealing with operations of the Asset Management Services Facility Environment division.
Work is performed under the general supervision of the Facilities Environment and Support Manager with considerable leeway to exercise independent judgment within the framework of applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures in the performance of duties, both in terms of planning and accomplishing work, and in making decisions regarding customer needs. Leading other staff members is required of this position. Position does related work as required.

Full Performance of Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Graduation from High School or possession of a General Educational Development (GED) test equivalency AND three (3) years of experience in cleaning public facilities AND six (6) months of work experience as a lead worker of custodial staff; OR
Graduation from High School or possession of a General Educational Development (GED) test equivalency AND five (5) years of work of custodial experience in cleaning public facilities.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver’s license issued by the State of North Carolina for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.
All offers of employment are conditioned upon successful clearance of a background check, Fitness-for-Duty assessment and pre-employment drug testing. Employment cannot commence until the employee has been cleared.
