Job Duties:
- Enter samples from clients into our LIMS database
- Ship via FedEx and/or UPS samples to subcontractors
- Supporting work for our other 3 off-site laboratories
- Understand and follow documents: SOP’s, Methods, and Quality Manual
- Prepare and analyze samples brought to the lab
- Perform data review of analytical data
- Generate final reports for review by supervisor
- Prepare standards and reagents for use in the lab
- Perform recordkeeping duties as assigned
- Inventory and ordering of laboratory supplies, reagents, and standards
- Follow good laboratory safety practices and protocols
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Maintain waste disposal
- Other tasks as assigned
Previous Experience/Training/Education:
- Up to 2 years of experience in an environmental analytical laboratory
- At least one college-level Chemistry w/lab and/or analytical lab experience
- Excellent Customer Service Skills
- Experience using MS Office Products
- Experience in sample preparation for instrumental analysis
- Experience using basic laboratory equipment: pH meter, DI water system, and analytical balance
- Experience using basic laboratory preparation equipment: Pipettors, volumetric glassware, and an analytical balance
- Experience using written procedures for sample analysis and laboratory operation
- Experience with record keeping, report generation, and reviewing reports
Preferred Qualifications:
- Using a LIMS database: ATL Lab Master or Promium Element
- Knowledge/experience using a Chain of Custody
- Knowledge in soil, water, air testing, and general microbiology
- Knowledge using an Accredited Program for an Environmental Analytical Laboratory
$18 - $20 an hour
