Position Summary
RSI is recruiting for an Environmental Scientist – Data Validator who will provide data validation, sample management, and environmental monitoring services for LM environmental monitoring programs. Data validation and sample management services involve reviewing analytical laboratory reports, reviewing field documentation, validating laboratory and field data, producing data validation reports, and loading and managing field data.

FLSA: Exempt
Hiring Range: $69,000.00 – $72,000.00 per year.(The anticipated starting salary is based on the posted minimum requirements for this position. The salary offered will be based upon the selected applicant’s education, training, and experience.)
This position requires does not require travel.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Using EQuIS database applications to accomplish and document data validation, sample management, and field-data management activities.
- Reviewing analytical laboratory reports and field documentation.
- Validation of laboratory and field data.
- Writing data validation reports.
- Sample management, preparation of field electronic data deliverables (EDDs), and loading of field EDDs.
- Training and mentoring of junior staff.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Years of Relevant Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related scientific field.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
Licenses and Certifications
- Valid Driver’s License
- No professional certification required
Required Skills and Abilities
- Data validation experience.
- Knowledge of analytical laboratory methods and/or analytical laboratory experience.
- Attention to detail with the ability to maintain focus when performing tedious tasks.
- Following detailed procedures and working with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work well with people.
- Hard worker and willingness to learn.
