Introduction

The Environmental Assessment Practitioner (EAP) willbe responsible forthe end-to-endmanagement and delivery of a full Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for a large-scalehydrogen processing plant,in accordance withSouth African environmental legislation andapplicable international best practice.

The role requires a registered and experienced EAP with demonstrable experience incomplex industrial, energy or hydrogen-related projects, including stakeholder engagement,specialist coordination, and regulatory approvalsthrough toEnvironmentalAuthorisation(EA).

Desired Experience & Qualification

• BSc / BTech /Honours/Master’sdegree in:

Environmental Science

Environmental Management

Environmental Engineering

Natural Sciences or related field

•Registered Environmental Assessment Practitioner (EAP)with arecognisedprofessional body (e.g.EAPASA or equivalent)

•8–10+ years’ experienceas a practicing EAP

•Proven experience delivering fullEIAs(Scoping + EIAR +EMPr) for:

Industrial plants

Energy infrastructure (renewables, fuels, gas, hydrogen, petrochemical orheavy industry)

•Demonstratedsuccess in securingEnvironmentalAuthorisationsfor complexprojects

• Experience withhydrogen, gas, chemical, or hazardous industrial facilitiesstronglypreferred
