Who We Are Looking For:
Phoenix Tailings is looking for a Director of Real Estate & Facilities to lead the strategy, acquisition, and management of our growing portfolio of facilities. This role will own how and where Phoenix operates—supporting R&D, pilot, and commercial production sites across multiple locations. You will work closely with executive leadership, operations, and engineering to secure and scale the physical infrastructure required to rapidly grow a first-of-its-kind clean metals company.
This pay range reflects the expected compensation for this role and may vary based on experience and qualifications.
Salary Range: $140,000-$200,000

Key Responsibilities - Own Phoenix Tailings’ real estate strategy across multiple facilities, including R&D, pilot, and production sites
- Lead site selection, feasibility analysis, and market evaluation for new locations aligned with growth plans
- Negotiate leases, amendments, renewals, and acquisitions with landlords, developers, and property owners
- Manage relationships with brokers, landlords, legal teams, and external real estate partners
- Oversee facility build-outs and tenant improvements in coordination with internal stakeholders
- Develop long-term real estate plans that align with operational scale, capital efficiency, and geographic expansion
- Own real estate budgets, forecasts, and long-range occupancy planning
- Ensure facilities support business needs while balancing cost, flexibility, and operational requirements
Qualifications:- 8+ years of experience in corporate real estate, facilities real estate, or infrastructure leadership roles
- Proven experience owning and scaling a multi-site real estate portfolio
- Strong background in industrial, manufacturing, laboratory, or energy-related facilities
- Extensive experience negotiating commercial leases and managing landlord and broker relationships
- Track record of leading site selection and facility expansion projects
- Strong financial and analytical skills related to real estate cost modeling and long-term planning
- Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Willingness to travel regularly as Phoenix Tailings expands its footprint
