Role Description:<\/span><\/span>

We are looking for an Assistant Manager – AFOLU / Nature -Based Carbon Projects to support the origination, development, and management of Nature -Based Climate Change Mitigation projects across removal, reduction, and avoidance pathways. The role will focus on technical documentation, field coordination, stakeholder engagement, and compliance with global carbon standards, while contributing to portfolio growth and successful project delivery.<\/span><\/span>

Roles and Responsibilities:<\/span><\/span>
<\/p>

Ability to originate, audit, develop, and manage new Nature -Based Climate Change Mitigation projects in removal, reduction, and avoidance.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/li>
Expand the company portfolio on Nature -Based Climate Change Mitigation projects.<\/span><\/span>
<\/li>
Exhibit expertise in developing Proposal Response Documents, Concept Notes, Feasibility Analyses, PDDs, ER Calculations, Audit Responses, etc in AFOLU / NBS Carbon Projects.<\/span><\/span>
<\/li>
Possess or develop in -depth awareness of all key Certification / Accreditation Standards used for implementing NBS and their associated Carbon Credit Mechanisms - including IUCN, REDD, VCS Jurisdictional and Nested REDD+ (JNR), Gold Standard -VER, IFM, CCB, UNDP -GEF (Global Environmental Facility), Blue Carbon Credits, Rainforest Alliance, FSC, etc.<\/span><\/span>

Be one of the subject matter experts on Nature -Based Climate Solutions, and help to develop the knowledge repository on all sectors and aspects of NBS such as Forestry, Agro -Forestry, Soil, Rivers & Water bodies, Mangroves, Seaweed, Biodiversity & Wildlife, community -based, Socio -Economic, etc.<\/span><\/span>

Keep updated on and lend expertise on all Policy frameworks related to NBS sectors.<\/span><\/span>
<\/li>
Maintain an outlook on emerging nature -based technologies in climate space that are eligible for credits.<\/span><\/span>
<\/li>
Support fellow teams on cross -cutting nature -based technologies and aspects that can be integrated into status quo methodologies.<\/span><\/span>
<\/li>
Evaluate partners of the company for implementation and support in NBS climate projects.<\/span><\/span>
<\/li>
Build strong relationships through account management for maximum customer success.<\/span><\/span>
<\/li>
Coordinate with CSO, and leadership to deliver on company targets and track the project updates on a regular basis.<\/span><\/span>

Skills and Qualifications:<\/span><\/span>
<\/p>
- Strong understanding of AFOLU and Nature -Based Solutions including forestry, agroforestry, soil carbon, wetlands, mangroves, and community -based projects.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
  <\/li>
- Experience or working knowledge in preparing PDDs, feasibility studies, concept notes, emission reduction calculations, and audit responses.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
  <\/li>
- Familiarity with global carbon standards and certification frameworks such as VCS (REDD+/JNR), Gold Standard, IFM, CCB, UNDP -GEF, IUCN, FSC, Rainforest Alliance, and Blue Carbon.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
  <\/li>
- Ability to support field verification, data collection, data validation, and maintain audit -ready documentation through maker–checker processes.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
  <\/li>
- Awareness of policy, regulatory, and compliance frameworks impacting NBS and carbon markets.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
  <\/li>
- Strong coordination skills to work with field teams, forest departments, implementation partners, auditors, and internal stakeholders.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
  <\/li>
- Good analytical, documentation, and reporting skills with high attention to detail.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
  <\/li>
- Willingness to grow as a subject matter expert in nature -based climate solutions.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
  <\/li>
- Graduate or postgraduate qualification in Forestry, Environmental Science, Agriculture, Climate Change, Sustainability, or a related discipline.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
  <\/li>
- 3–6 years of relevant experience in AFOLU, NBS, or carbon project implementation and management<\/span><\/span><\/span>
