Intelcom has set an ambitious goal: to achieve carbon neutrality by 2040. To reach this target, the organization must deploy its decarbonization roadmap across all areas of its operations. This involves designing and implementing numerous operational programs, the success of which will depend on the engagement of various teams and partners.
Implementing carbon-free delivery services through our delivery partners in the different cities we serve particularly using electric trucks and cargo bikes is one of our top priorities.
The Decarbonization Programs Specialist will be responsible for implementing the cargo bikes program across the different markets served (Canada, Europe, Australia). This person’s mandate will be to support the deployment of delivery activities by our partners, in collaboration with operational teams. They will monitor various projects in the field and ensure that potential obstacles are anticipated in order to establish the winning conditions required based on operational contexts.
Responsibilities
Coordinate the decarbonization program in the different markets served.
Collaborate with operational teams to ensure effective implementation and monitoring of project activities.
Monitor and evaluate the deployment of various projects (schedule, budget, etc.) rigorously.
Identify and implement the necessary conditions for operational success according to local contexts and the teams involved.
Provide training and support to delivery partners as required.
Analyze performance data and propose continuous improvements.
Promote sustainability initiatives within the company and externally.
Track project progress and provide regular reports to stakeholders and management.
Qualifications
3 years of experience in logistics, delivery, transportation, or project management.
Experience in deploying last-mile decarbonization activities, including fleet transitions to electric trucks and cargo bikes, and good knowledge of the ecosystem is an asset.(players, regulations, trends, etc.).
Knowledge of sustainable development practices and environmental issues (an asset).
Excellent interpersonal communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Self-starter with the ability to proactively solve complex problems.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
Bilingual French/English (oral and written) : required to communicate daily with English-speaking partners.
Availability to travel for meetings with employees, partners, and other commitments.
