We
are looking for an Assistant Manager – AFOLU Based Carbon Projects to support
and execute on -ground implementation of AFOLU -based carbon projects across
assigned geographies. The role involves field verification, coordination with
Forest Departments and local stakeholders, and accurate collection, updation,
and validation of project data and documentation. The position requires a
strong process orientation, ensuring system updates and reporting follow
approved SOPs, MRV requirements, and a robust maker–checker framework.<\/span><\/span><\/span>

Roles<\/span> <\/span><\/span>and<\/span> <\/span><\/span>Responsibilities:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b>
<\/p>
Lead and oversee end -to -end implementation of large -scale
agroforestry/carbon projects in coordination with Forest Department, district
administrations, and community stakeholders.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/li>Prepare and manage monthly and quarterly reports and ensure the
implementation of all the SOPs, Data captures as per the approved carbon
methodologies, MRV requirements.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/li>Supervise the Nursery establishment, management, and periodic
stock -taking of nurseries at species level, ensuring quality, quantity, and
timely availability of planting material.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/li>Oversee plantation execution, field teams, survival monitoring, and MRV
data collection across assigned districts/divisions.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/li>Coordinate FPIC processes, farmer land onboarding, and facilitation of
Tri -Party Agreements, ensuring full documentation and ethical compliance.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/li>Lead collection and review of secondary baseline data (land records, GIS
shapefiles, boundary maps, census and income data) in coordination with SMEs,
Central Team, Forest and Revenue Departments.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/li>Guide development, translation, and standardisation of project tools,
SOPs, FPIC formats, consent forms, training materials, posters, and PPTs in
local language (both English & Hindi / any other).<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/li>Primary data collection through structured field visits, village -level
FGDs, district and taluka workshops, along with FD and Field associates/ interns.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/li>Plan and deliver Master Trainer programs with FD Range Officers and
frontline staff; ensure clarity of roles, responsibilities, and project
processes.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/li>Ensure continuous coordination across Forest Ranges and Social Forestry
divisions through regular reviews, rapport building, and progress verification.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/li>Ensure systematic archiving and reporting of FPIC documentation,
photographs, meeting minutes, and evidence as per carbon standard requirements.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/li>Ensure every polygon level farmer proof documents, boundary maps,
history of land use, farmer preference on planting model to be documented
digitally as well record sheet.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/li>Maintain oversight of daily logbooks, consolidate monthly progress
reports, and submit milestone -based reports to the Project In -charge and senior
management.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/li><\/ul>Skills and Qualifications:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b>
<\/p>
Postgraduate or graduate degree in Forestry, Environmental Science,
Agriculture, Natural Resource Management, or a related discipline.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/li>3 - 6 years of relevant experience in agroforestry, forestry projects,
climate/carbon projects, rural development programs, or large -scale field
implementation initiatives.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/li>Prior experience working with Forest Departments, government agencies,
NGOs, or development projects is strongly preferred.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/li>Hands -on exposure to carbon standards, MRV frameworks, baseline
assessments, FPIC processes, and documentation requirements will be an added
advantage.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/li>Willingness to travel extensively and work in rural and forested
landscapes.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
