Lyten is leading an industrial revolution through Lyten 3D Graphene™, a breakthrough supermaterial unlocking a new generation of products — from lithium–sulfur batteries and energy storage systems to concrete admixtures, lightweight composites, and next-generation sensors that are revolutionizing industries. Together, these innovations are making a massive global improvement and driving real-world impact across energy, mobility, construction, and defense.
At Lyten, we believe the most meaningful careers begin with purpose — and with people who want to make a difference. We’re not just developing advanced supermaterials — we’re about to change the world as we know it, reshaping how energy is stored, how products are built, and how progress is made.
We’re entering an exciting growth phase, scaling production across the U.S. and Europe and expanding our team of engineers, scientists, and innovators.
Apply now to join our team and be part of something bigger than yourself — where collaboration, creativity, and purpose come together to build the technologies that will define the next century.
At Lyten, we design energy storage technologies that enable a safer, more resilient, and more sustainable energy system. As a Test Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that our Battery Management Systems (BMS) perform reliably and safely in real-world Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
The role is available both in Gdańsk and Sweden, where you will own the end-to-end validation of BMS hardware and firmware using Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing. You will work closely with Firmware, Systems, and Quality teams to ensure our products meet the highest industry and safety standards.
What you’ll do
Own the validation and verification of BMS hardware using HIL test environments.
Design, develop, and execute automated test suites covering functional safety, performance, reliability, and fault scenarios.
Build, maintain, and improve HIL setups that emulate battery cells, modules, and system-level dynamics.
Run large-scale test campaigns including functional, stress, thermal, fault-injection, and transient-event simulations.
Analyze test data, identify root causes of failures, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive corrective actions.
Ensure traceability between system requirements, safety standards, and test results.
Produce clear test specifications, reports, dashboards, and release documentation for engineering and management stakeholders.
What you bring
3+ years of hands-on HIL testing experience for BMS or power-electronics systems.
Strong skills in Python and/or LabVIEW for test automation.
Ability to read and understand schematics, PCB layouts, and embedded C firmware.
Experience writingtest plans, acceptance criteria, and traceability matrices aligned with system and safety requirements.
Familiarity with functional-safety standards such as ISO 26262, IEC 61508, UL 1973 is a strong plus.
AB.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Fluent English, written and spoken.
Technical strengths
Hands-on experience building and maintaining HIL platforms, including real-time simulators, programmable power supplies, and CAN/Ethernet interfaces.
Ability to develop robust, repeatable automation scripts for high-volume and regression testing.
Strong analytical skills to collect, process, and interpret test data, turning results into actionable insights.
Proven ability to diagnose issues across hardware, firmware, and system models.
How you succeed here
You take full ownership of your work and see validation as a critical part of product success.
You enjoy solving complex technical problems and collaborating in fast-paced, international teams.
You’re curious, quality-driven, and motivated by seeing your work used in real-world energy systems.
You bringflexibility, positive energy, and a sense of humor, and you’re excited to take on meaningful challenges.
