Job Description Summary
The Sr Technical Product Manager for Data Governance within the Enterprise Data and Analytics team will provide end‑to‑end ownership of data governance and compliance products within the Enterprise Data Lake ecosystem. This role is responsible for driving outcomes independently by defining, building, and operating technical solutions that support regulatory compliance, data confidentiality, and enterprise data governance standards.
The role focuses on designing, building, and operating scalable, technology‑driven governance and compliance capabilities, including automated and AI‑enabled monitoring, audit solutions, metadata management, and data lineage. You will act as a product owner for governance tools—defining strategy and roadmaps, overseeing development, and ensuring solutions meet regulatory, security, and audit requirements. This role partners closely with Data & Analytics platform teams, Architecture, Security, GRC, and internal and external auditors.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Own and operate data governance and compliance products supporting regulatory requirements (e.g., SOX, GDPR, data privacy) and data confidentiality standards.
- Design and implement automated and analytics‑driven governance and audit solutions, including monitoring, controls, exception detection, and compliance reporting.
- Define data governance architectures and data models that enable consistent policy enforcement, monitoring, and auditability across the Enterprise Data Lake.
- Develop scalable data models, metadata structures, and control frameworks to support governance and compliance reporting.
- Define product strategies, roadmaps, and success metrics for governance and compliance tools.
- Partner with engineering and platform teams to oversee development and ensure alignment with enterprise and cloud architecture standards.
- Build dashboards and reporting solutions using Databricks and Tableau to provide compliance insights and audit evidence.
- Manage governance capabilities including metadata management, data catalogs, and data lineage, ensuring they support traceability and impact analysis.
- Support internal and external audits by providing automated evidence, data extracts, dashboards, and documentation.
- Act as the single point of contact for governance and compliance tools within Data and Analytics, gathering stakeholder inputs and feedback.
- Promote adoption and effective use of governance solutions across the enterprise.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
- Programming/scripting experience in Python
- Strong understanding of logical and physical data models, big data storage architectures, and data modeling methodologies.
- Knowledge of data governance concepts, including metadata management, data catalogs, data lineage, master data management, and data profiling.
- Experience working with databases and SQL.
- Hands‑on experience with Tableau or similar visualization tools.
- Strong understanding of data and analytics platforms, including data lake architectures.
- Technical understanding of cloud technologies such as AWS and/or Azure.
- Awareness of current technology trends, with the ability to introduce innovative, automated governance solutions.
