The Role
Due to a significant increase in customer activity and growing demand for our engineering expertise, we are lookout for a Project Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will contribute to a dynamic engineering group supporting wind turbine owners, including hands-on technical work and field assignments. This role provides the opportunity to develop broad capabilities across wind turbine systems, and data-driven engineering within a fast-growing company in the wind energy industry.
Key Responsibilities:
• Delivery and management of condition monitoring hardware install projects, remotely and in the field
• Liaise with clients and internal/external stakeholders to ensure continued pace of activity
• Develop and deliver presentations and project reports
• Ensure successful delivery of site-based pilot and commercial projects
• Manage sub-contractors and develop work instructions
• Undertake predictive maintenance and asset management consulting
• Collaborate with the business development team to develop costings and technical sales proposals
• Manage and deliver technical consulting projects related to wind turbine Maintenance Consulting, Reliability Engineering, and Technical Advisory.
• Deliver technical consultancy in the areas of blade failure analysis, performance upgrade assessments, repair reviews etc.
• Utilize engineering team resources to support larger projects and sign off work.
• Act as internal subject matter expert on composite structures.
Ideally, you’ll have/be:
• An Engineering based degree qualification for example Mechanical or Structural. A specialism in composites would be highly desired.
• 2+ years experience in Wind preferred, all strong candidates will be considered.
• Confident project manager, able to work effectively under pressure, and experienced in client/customer management.
• Required travel and willingness to work on-site and up tower in wind turbines.
• Works effectively to deadlines with minimum supervision; strong problem-solving skills; collaborates well with colleagues regionally and globally.
