DescriptionThe Senior Electrical Engineer will lead the technical design, planning, and commercial optimization of large-scale renewable energy infrastructure. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of engineering deliverables, from conceptual frameworks and tender-level designs to detailed engineering for multi-megawatt renewable plants integrated with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
Responsibilities- System Design & Engineering: Lead the design of electrical systems for renewable energy plants, including system configuration, DC/AC sizing, cable routing, and BESS configuration.
Advanced Technical Analysis: Perform critical calculations such as cable sizing and grouping, earthing sizing, and substation design ranging from 33 kV to 132 kV.
Efficiency & Optimization: Implement innovative technical solutions to reduce the Levelized Cost of Energy (LCoE) and improve project Turn-Around-Time (TAT) through automation and standardized templates.
Project & Proposal Management: Manage tender and proposal engineering, including the preparation of detailed Bill of Quantities (BOQ), Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), and technical documentation for RFP bidding.
Operational Monitoring: Utilize digital cloud platforms to analyze energy generation values and identify performance abnormalities during the Operation and Maintenance (O&M) phase.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Procurement and Business Development teams to explore innovative approaches and ensure designs meet international standards like IEC and IS.
Qualifications- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or Construction Management.
- Technical Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of Renewable energy systems, Battery Energy Storage (BESS), and Substation design.
- Software Proficiency: Expert knowledge of industry-standard tools including AutoCAD, ETAP, CYMCAP, XGSLab, and specialized energy modeling software.
- Data & Analytics: Advanced skills in MS Excel for cost estimation, budget analysis, and regression-based modeling.
- Experience: Demonstrated history of managing international utility-scale renewable projects across diverse geographies
