Description
The Senior Division Order Associate is responsible for owning complex division order, ownership, and lease data workflows across Fervo’s geothermal assets. This role serves as a technical authority within the Land function, ensuring land system accuracy, compliance readiness, and alignment across Land, Title, Accounting, GIS, and Project teams.
This position is hands-on and execution-focused, with responsibility for high-priority assets, audits, system improvements, and cross-functional coordination — without formal people management responsibilities.

Responsibilities
Division Order, Ownership, & Lease Data Management
- Prepare, review, and maintain complex division orders and ownership records in accordance with executed leases, contracts, recorded documents, and approved title output.
- Ensure lease terms, provisions, critical dates, and ownership interests are accurately reflected in Fervo’s land and division order systems (e.g., Quorum ODL/ODA or similar)
- Reconcile recorded documents, ownership updates, and system entries to maintain high data integrity
- Coordinate with Land and Title partners to resolve ownership discrepancies, system inconsistencies, or missing documentation
- Understand royalty obligations, ownership splits, and payment structures and flag inconsistencies for resolution
Compliance Tracking, Audits & Risk Management
- Track lease obligations including rentals, extensions, work commitments, unit obligations, and other critical dates
- Conduct lease and land data audits to identify errors, gaps, or compliance risks and support corrective actions
- Support project finance, diligence, and regulatory requests by preparing accurate land, lease, and ownership documentation
- Assist in identifying curative needs during audits and coordinate resolution with Land and Title teams
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Reporting
- Partner closely with Accounting to support revenue distribution, month-end close activities, audits, and internal controls
- Coordinate with GIS to align land system data with spatial layers and leasehold mapping
- Provide landhold, ownership, and compliance reporting to Finance, Development, and Project teams
- Serve as a go-to technical resource for land, ownership, and land system-related questions
- Process Ownership, Systems & Continuous Improvement
- Own end-to-end division order, lease administration, and land data workflows for assigned assets, with accountability for accuracy, completeness, and timeliness
- Serve as the primary owner for complex or high-priority workflows, including audits, data reconciliations, and system clean-up efforts
- Design, document, and improve standard operating procedures to enhance scalability, data integrity, compliance, and audit readiness
- Support land system configuration, enhancements, and integrations by providing hands-on subject-matter expertise and driving process improvements
Qualifications
Required
- 7–10+ years of experience in land or lease administration within geothermal, oil & gas, renewables, mining, or related energy sectors
- Experience managing leasehold databases or enterprise land systems (e.g., Quorum ODL/ODA, P2 Tobin, Enverus)
- Strong understanding of PLSS, federal and state leasing frameworks, and basic title concepts
- Demonstrated experience organizing large volumes of land documents with consistent naming and metadata standards
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify compliance risks and resolve data discrepancies
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced environment
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Energy Management, Business, Geography/GIS, Legal Studies, or a related field
- Experience with federal leasing, BLM processes, and state trust land administration
- Experience integrating land data into GIS systems
