Position Summary:
The Trailer Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing trailer logistics, coordinating movement and availability, and ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards.
Your Role:
- Manage the tracking, utilization, and placement of collection trailers
- Serve as a point of contact for drivers, logistics, and operations staff, as well as external partners.
- Ensure trailers are maintained, complaints are addressed, and ready for operational needs.
- Support the continuous improvement initiative within logistics and operations
- Develop efficient routes and schedules for trailer transport
- Enforce DOT, OSHA, and EPA regulations
- Monitor driver performance
- Collaborate with safety on training and incident reporting
- Analyze route performance, fuel usage, and maintenance costs
- Maintains reasonable, regular, punctual attendance consistent with Company policies, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Family Medical Leave Act, and other federal, state, and local standards.
- Adapts to changing duties, as required, based on business needs.
Your Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities per the Company's policies and applicable laws.
Your Skills:
- Experience in logistics, fleet management, or transportation operations
- Supervisory experience is preferred
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- The environment is fast-paced, and the person in this role must be proactive, hardworking, highly organized, and an independent critical thinker.
- Proficiency with tracking systems, spreadsheets, and reporting tools
- Gritty, outgoing, and eager to learn.
