The Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist, provides full-service recruitment processes for our WUSCAN Division; Western US and Canada; supporting the full vertical of hiring needs from entry level to senior level roles (Manager-Director level). This position will include developing a pipeline of potential talent, networking and building partnerships. This person will provide guidance and support to hiring managers and manage the recruitment database. They will recruit and hire id-level positions in the Division, as well as coordinate with the Executive Recruiters on executive level positions. The Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist will be a member of the Talent Acquisition team, and an integral part of the WUSCAN team working to create a positive experience for all candidates and fulfill the recruiting needs across The Nature Conservancy.

The Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist is a partner and subject matter expert for hiring managers and is responsible for supporting and managing all aspects of the recruitment process for the Western US and Canada Teams including the smooth transition to the on-boarding process. They will bring innovative ideas to build and implement effective, proactive, and efficient recruitment strategies and processes to address the talent for all non-term-limited mid-level positions. This includes activities such as reviewing job postings and creating candidate profiles, using the HR Recruitment process and system to post jobs, update applicant status, communication with applicants, conducting pre-screening and phone interviews, networking with associations, and providing guidance and information to hiring managers and Operations staff. They will build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for future opportunities and ensure a positive experience for candidates and hiring managers. They will work to ensure that the WUSCAN Division talent goals and strategies are achieved, and best practices are followed.
This is a remote role BUT candidates are to be located in: Colorado, Washington, Montana, Oregon and in : Alberta or Ontario Canada.
What You’ll Bring:
Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of 7 years recruiting work experience or equivalent combination (including HR concepts, processes, and services).
Experience Recruiting for leadership roles; Manager and above.
Experience working with and reporting out to Director & VP level clients.
Experience in sourcing, including candidate identification, research, outreach, or candidate development.
Experience in one or more of the following areas: database management and spreadsheet software; constructing and producing reports; data input, manipulation and analysis.
Experience managing confidential documents and retention processes.
Experience communicating and developing relationships with a broad range of audiences including experience working with or recruiting for global teams.
Experience with prioritizing and organizing work while attending to details.
Experience working with MS Office software, including Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
Experience working with applicant tracking systems; Workday experience a plus.
Experience working in a start-up like environment, and assisting to create processes and/or the experience of rolling out a new process/project a plus.
Salary Information:
The starting pay range for a candidate selected for this position is generally within the range of $88,000 – $110,000. This range only applies to candidates whose country of employment is the USA. Where a successful candidate’s actual pay will fall within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including, for example, the candidate's location, qualifications, specific skills, and experience. Please note countries outside the USA would have a different pay range in the local currency based on the local labor market, and not tied to USA pay or ranges. Your geographic location will be confirmed during the recruitment.
